A new year. A new beginning.

A new year, A New beginning

Happy New year everyone. May this upcoming year bring a wide array of positivity, hope, luck and prosperity in your life.

2014 marks a new beginning. I'm sure that each one of us are now busy in making new year resolutions. Some of us plan to go on a strict fitness regime whereas a few of us
wish to improve in studies. Some of us plan to enhance our attitude towards life. On the other hand, a few of us wish to increase socialization and begin new friendships.

To be honest, these resolutions are of absolutely no use if we don't team them up with passion, determination, willingness and a fire to do something. Our inner inclination towards doing something, will spark our actions and make 2014 our very own year.  Remember friends, our actions always speak louder than words. Do not restrict your inner thoughts to just Facebook statuses or tweets. Give way to your desires and exhibit your passion in an outstanding manner. Motivate yourself to become the person you intend to be.  Do something different. Create more exuberance in life- in a positive way obviously.

Friends. Life is short, live with every passing moment. Do not live in the past, live in the present.  Create positive vibes in your life. Apologize to anyone you have hurt. Develop an optimistic attitude. Do not let your inner reluctance overshadow your positive actions in life.

'2014 is your year. 2014 is our year.. '

Welcome 2014 with a smile, a spirit of giving, a sense of positivity and a forgiving attitude. Get ready to face new challenges in life, and grab new opportunities. Hope you all celebrate this New year with sheer enthusiasm, and zest.

Lots of love and tranquility 💛

Sharjah- My City, My First Love

Sharjah – My City, My first Love :)

When my family and I shifted to the United Arab Emirates 15 years ago, I didn’t know that this country will become a significant part of my life. Throughout these years, Ive seen different shades of my city Sharjah and I have to say that I am quite impressed with the developments and the progress made in this beautiful city. I deeply and immensely love my city Sharjah and feel that its one of the best and the most blissful cities in this world… Sharjah has successfully made a place for itself in my heart. The feelings I shared about this emirate are inexplicable. Sharjah is and will always remain my first love. The traditional exterior of this city has made me experience a blend of cultures and gave me a divine sense of belonging. When I wake up every morning, the crisp of the leaves, the sounds of the soft wind and the birds chirping make me feel energetic and enthusiastic. These natural aspects make me feel that everything is mine. When I step out in the open, there is a freshness in the air which relaxes my mind and puts my heart to rest. I indulge in the beauty of Sharjah with every passing second.

Sharjah is a beautiful city located in the heart of the United Arab Emirates. Sharjah provides us with a praise-worthy example on how unconditional beauty is always confined in simplicity.

Rich in modesty and culture, Sharjah offers us with some attention-grabbing and exciting locations. Being one of the most populous emirate, it is very unlikely to see the streets of Sharjah empty, yet there is silence and feeling of relaxation and bliss maintained. The view and the landscape of the city is exhilarating and can leave one in a state of bewilderment. The spectacular garden areas never fail to attract the environment enthusiasts. Additionally, the golden sandy beaches and the pristine and crystal clear waters are found to be the most desirable by the tourists and the residents of the city.

The magnificent museums engraved with historical and impressively beautiful sculptures can leave one dumbfounded and familiarizes them with heritage and the history of this cultural city.

Sharjah is a perfect destination which offers a complete package of enjoyment and fun while strictly adhering to religious and cultural values.

There are many opulent places in Sharjah as well . Al Qasba is an excellent location which is visited by many families residing here. The fine dining restaurants offer people with traditional and exquisite cuisines. The middle-eastern food is the most palatable and tantalizing.  Here, one can take a boat ride around the canal and enjoy the soft breeze and the tepid weather or have a ride on the mystical ‘Eye of the Emirate’ and experience the electrifying view of the city from the top.

The newly made Majaz Waterfront gives one an insight on how this city has reached the heights of success and prosperity in the recent years. This place represents a modern and a highly established Sharjah. The vibrant colours of the water fountain places unceasing enthusiasm in ones heart and makes them fall in love with this city once again.

Sharjah can also be called “The City of Lights”. Even at midnight, one does not feel isolated because of the magical lights that brighten up the entire city. These lights transfix people and represent the energetic exterior of this city. The Sharjah Light Festival is also celebrated with a lot of pomp and triumph.

Moreover, Sharjah has a chain of brilliant resorts and hotels that provide the tourists with a gratifying atmosphere, thus enhancing the tourism industry of this city. Tourists can indulge in exuberant activities such as archaeology, camel riding , sand boarding and canoeing which are all fairly enjoyable.

Sharjah has not only excelled in the fields of tourism and social development but has also achieved tremendous appreciation and success in the educational and industrial fields. The American University of Sharjah is one of the top ranked and the most eminent universities in the middle east. It offers student with a brilliant campus and wide variety of courses to select from. Sharjah has also been the pioneer or the initiator of educational institutions in the UAE. The government of Sharjah has widely invested in vocational education and educational infrastructure so as to improve the quality of teaching in the region. It is an interesting fact that the first newspaper was launched in the city of Sharjah itself in the year 1927.

The Sharjah Art Foundation provides people with the enchanting opportunity to exhibibt their artistic skills and paint the way to their dreams. The Sharjah Book Fair is a place defined to be the readers paradise. Filled with enthralling and imaginative books, it is a perfect way to captivate young minds. Due to an increase in the global demand of commodities, many industries have been established in Sharjah which are running successfully.

Globalization  has also laid many impactful consequences on Sharjah. Sharjah has witnessed a remarkable change throughout these years. When you step out from your house, you will come across groups of people from different nationalities and the astounding part is that everyone bonds so well with each other. The unity amongst people is the biggest strength of this city.
Like any other  city in this world, Sharjah as well has its imperfections. But, I have learnt to embrace this city for its sweet imperfections. Sharjah has been my home for 15 years now. With every passing year, this city has taught me a new lesson. This city familiarized me with reality. I will never forget the love and the memories I have shared with this beautiful city. Sharjah gave us 1000 reasons to smile. That’s why we always say ‘’ SMILE YOU ARE IN SHARJAH’’

Lots of love

The endearing love of my life!

Hey guys. So, I wrote a poem on the idea that a husband is expressing his love for his wife who became paralyzed in an alarming and a distressing accident.

The sublime words of love you imprinted in my heart
Are the ones which will always prevent us both from falling apart
You're my love, you're my life
We both took vows of incessantly supporting each other all day and all
night

I love u from deep within my heart.
You're the soul of my life, my precious jewel.
Difficulties and problem are prevalent in everyone's life.
But with your immense  love and support, I managed to tackle them all.

In times of pain, anguish and melancholy, you held my hand and comforted me with your soft ways.
When I was lonely and distressed, you became my biggest support and companion and I can't thank u enough for that .

Now, your lips have become cold, cheeks have become pale and eyes have become sore.
But, in this time of grief I'll become your biggest strength.
Because in my heart, love for you is galore.

I still cannot forget the sound of your piercing cries.
The picture of you throbbing in immense pain can certainly not be erased from my mind.
Even though you are silent, your eyes speak the language of love.
The love you have for me and the divine love we share for the world.

My world became joyous from the day you stepped into my house. Your face enlightened my mornings  and your eyes pacified my nights.
I love you unconditionally
It's so hard to express.
My love for you crosses boundaries
I know that one day you will be back to your normal self.

Yes, I'm devastated but the thought of having u by my side is what keeps me going.
People sometimes say to me" How can one indulge in a state as sad and profound as yours?"
They fail to realize that your recovery is the purpose of my life
In my mind, your pleasing memories reside

You have to live- for me and for the sake of our enriching love
Our relationship also represents friendship, pertinence and a heart warming trust

Our love is not weak that it will fade because of this one accident.
We both have to make this last forever.
Death is truly inevitable.
I hope it comes to me before you.
I cannot see you fading in a bundle of pain.
You're the warmth of my heart and the apple of my eye
We share our love and life and together we both shall vanish in the sky .

Thought of the Day - (Day 2)

The Building Block of our life (Informative post)

Education!

We are living 21st century where education has become an extremely significant part of our life. In the past few years, education was considered as a want and was only available to the affluent. Families who were well off were the only ones who had access to proper education. But in today's era, education has it's own importance and it has become an economic imperative. Eduction should not only be made available to people who are bounded by immense wealth and luxury but it should be made available to everyone dwelling in a particular country.

Education imposes many positive consequences on the economy as a whole.  The country with more of educated people will benefit more since they will have a greater input of human capital. Also educated people contribute well to the national output of a county. This may result in greater wealth creation.

Education also results in the expansion of knowledge and creativity and helps to familiarize us with different aspects of our magnificent world.
I feel very proud to say that governments of various countries are taking steps to to initiate  educational institutions, invest in vocational education and educational infrastructure and improve the quality of teaching at places which are devoid of education.

Education is an extremely crucial and a valuable asset, and we should thank the Almighty for making it available to us.
The importance of education is today's world in inexplicable

I visit Pakistan almost every year. At times when I'm in Karachi, I feel completely sad and distressed to see how children who are extremely willing and determined to get educated have been deprived of it. Education is the building block of ones life and significantly contributes in building up your entire personality. Lack of education in Pakistan is a sign of a disintegrated nation in the future. If people are not made aware of wide spread problems through schooling, then the correct measures may not be taken.

It is a coherent debate that education leads to misguidance.
However, in countries and regions where misguidance is increasing on a daily rate, education is extremely helpful and beneficial. Thus, making this argument certainly invalid.

Thumbs up 👍

Malala Yousafzai- The Daughter of the World💗

Malala Yousafzai- the daughter of the world !

1 year ago,  a new historical chapter began, when an adolescent 15 year old naive Pakistani girl was shot at the Swat Valley by the barbaric Taliban militants. It was a moment of deep and profound sadness for the entire nation because Malala Yousafzai was shot just because she raised her voice against injustice and took the daring step of fighting for her educational rights.
Malala Yousafzai had to endure immense pain and hardships and it's commendable to say that she managed to fight death and come out of the perils as strong as ever. At this moment, she has adequate strength and resilience and is high on self-esteem.
Malala Yousafzai is an epitome of bravery and valor! This young Pakistani lass redefines the word'courage' in the most brilliant of ways. She is a young achiever and has accomplished so much at such a tender age. She provides us with a praise worthy example on how we
can attain whatever we have always wished for if we have enough hope and determination.
She gave rise to a ray of hope in the hearts of young girls who are devoid of education and are deprived of their rights.  Malala Yousafzai exhibits gallantry and fearlessness and is determined to bring a positive change to our world.
Imagine! A young girl who was shot in the swat valley by a group of uncivilized men had the confidence to stand in front of many eminent global leaders and left them completely bewildered by the intensity of her speech.
Her determination and trust in God even led to her winning the children's peace price award . Isn't that too big of an achievement ?

Malala Yousafzai symbolizes  hope, courage and wisdom.. She made the entire world realize that nothing is impossible. Her focus and willingness made everybody love, appreciate and respect her. Her incessant efforts made her a young and a truly deserving leader of today's youth. She sets an excellent example for today's generation.
A shining star, a leader in the making, an inspiration to millions, Malala is definitely one of my role models. I deeply respect and love her.

Her very own father said the words, "Malala is not only my daughter but she is the daughter of the world"

Patience, tolerance, hate and anger...

note : This post was supposed to be put up during the month of Ramadan. Sorry for the delay.

Hey everyone.. Ramadan kareem to all. In this blessed month, the gates of paradise are open and the satan is locked. So, pray as much as you can and abstain from all sorts of evil deeds.
The one life lesson I've learnt recently is to control your anger and be patient and tolerant if you wish to stabilize any kind of situation. We human beings should learn to be patient and tolerant at all times.
To me patience represents peace and peace represents silence and wisdom. And silence is deeply beautiful and profound.

Friends, do not indulge in any kind of hatred or revenge as they both are equally damaging to all of us.

Let me give you a wise example : The enemies of the Holy Prophet treated him very ruthlessly and hard heartedly. They used to cover his path with thorns, made deliberate attempts to kill him and even threw rubbish in front of his house. But, he did not do anything. He remained silent. He was patient. He did not intend to indulge in in revenge.

Anger destroys a person's identity. It causes ones heart to become numb with fear and revulsion. At many times, anger compels us to take the wrong steps and make the wrong decisions. Anger gives birth to immense hatred in our hearts. Anger does not only harm our body but it is also malicious to our soul.

Remember friends, the person who can scream louder than the others or react to a situation in a wilder way isnt the one who is strong. In fact, he is the one who has the weakest heart of all. On the contrary, the person who always wears a smile on his or her face during times of trouble, deals with every situation with patience and tolerance, and does not raise his voice at any time is the strongest amongst us.

Silence, peace and patience are those magnificient aspects of life which makes our world even more blissful and regenerates love in our hearts.

peace and heaps of love :)

The Divine Crisp Pages

Imagine! Walking into a house and not a single book comes to your sight. What impression will you develop about the family or the person residing in that house? As technology advances, the most crucial question arising in our minds today is " CAN TECHNOLOGY REPLACE THE ORIGINALITY OF BOOKS? "

The answer to this is "NO". Reading is an inexpensive medium of entertainment and relaxation eradicating monotony. However, in terms of entertainment, technology seems to have surpassed books but at the cost of our health. Technology has laid off negative health effects such as eye-sight and obesity problems. Books are a permanent source of education and knowledge. They help to improve our concentration, further enhancing our creativity.

Can you imagine what our world would be without books? Books are the building blocks of a person's life. They help us to create a mutual bond with the author and take us to a wide, imaginative world of adventure, suspense, emotions and thrill. Books are often described as a reliable source of information. However, technology is unreliable and can lead to misguidance. Also, young minds tend to misuse technology and try to fulfill evil purposes. Books also tend to improve our focus and concentration.

From the above points, we can conclude that books can never be replaced or substituted by technology, as the joy of reading from crisp, printed pages is inexplicable

Sharing love

Sharing love.

Love and experiences are two aspects of life which I feel can be shared with the world in the most innovative and creative of ways.  Love is beautiful and sublime and is surely something which our world needs  the most right now!

Unfortunately, instead  of spreading unconditional love, we all are deeply engaged in spreading immense hatred.

Millions of people die every day and not even a tear comes out of our eyes. Have we become that hard- hearted? Don't we have feelings? Just imagine yourself in their place for once and you will realize all what they have gone through- the deep pain and agony they have experienced.  How all their smiles turn into sadness in just a second? Who in this world gave us a license to be so ruthless? Why can't we lend them a helping hand ? Why are we so scared to approach the victims? Why do we keep our thoughts  confined to ourselves ?

Even the most formidable of people do not have an answer to these questions.  It's so disheartening to learn the fact that our world is not a safe place to live anymore. We have ongoing violence in every part of this world . And the worst part is that we are doing nothing about it but sitting still and calm in the corner of our houses.  Why does our humanity tend to go ebb and flow as time passes ?

We all need love in our life. If an incident occurred in country 'x', then everyone's heart should shiver and pain.  We need to stop thinking that we are the residents of a particular country but we need to adopt the fact that we, humans, are the residents of the world and it's our responsibility to love each and everything in this world. We need to stop being vulnerable to such abrupt and soul- searing  incidents.

Sometimes, my heart literally feels asphyxiated when  I go through the news channels. There was a time when all the news was positive-  there was love ! But now, there is nothing but fear and revulsion.

It's my earnest request to all of you reading- please spread love and do not promote hatred in any way. Love earns us respect and makes us a better person. But hatred, kills our humanity and does nothing else . So stop hating and share the love .

Peace and love.

School life !

School life!

Hey everyone ! :)

Well , today my post will focus on the kids of my age and the rest of the teens..

When we are small, our parents wait for the day they will get to see us in our school uniforms with a small bag pack on our tiny shoulders - almost ready to take on a new world !

I still remember, on the first day of school, I was so damn petrified and cried so harshly that I could hardly breath lol ! When my mum dropped me to my class, I couldn't move at all, I was absolutely dumbfounded by the completely different atmosphere. My teacher held my hands but I couldn't decide whether to trust her or not.  There were so many things going on in my brain and I grasped  my mum's  dress tightly.  But towards the end I had to leave!

Soon , many days passed by and I was completely fascinated by my school environment and began to deeply enjoy this new experience. The first thing I learnt was to make new friends . However at  that time I did not know that these friends would imprint their names in my heart for ever.

Years passed by! From a naive child, I had now become a mature adolescent. On the day of my 13th birthday, I became completely enthralled as I was soon about to enter into a new phase in life- my teens! I thought everything in my life will drastically change  but surprisingly nothing different happened. School was the same. I was the same old boring me. I was actually kind of disappointed.
But the fact of life is that everything had changed! It's just that I couldn't realize it at that particular point. Many trivial things were incomprehensible to me..  I suddenly began to notice a change in my friends and my class mates' behavior. They had suddenly become so mature.  Some of them talked about stuff I didn't even seem to understand.  My mind wasn't completely set.
I've realized that school was my first step towards a new life. It was my getaway to the world. It taught me so many new things. I was challenged at every step and most importantly I learnt how to overcome that challenge with focus teamed with determination. It provided me with a gratifying and a compelling environment. School taught me the value of team work. School did not only educate me about science, Maths and other such subjects but also educated me about the different ways of living life.
Most importantly school gave me the most wonderful gift of my life time - friends , who will be my companions for ever.
Our teachers who are our educators taught us about the good and bad aspects  in life and now it was completely upon us to decide which path to take - the good path or the bad path.
When I had just entered tenth grade, I felt so old. But then , isn't this the basic rule of our world- growing up?
We all faced hardships, stress, pressures, love, joys and so many other such emotions at school.  These  emotions helped us to evolve in life. These swing of emotions taught  us so many heart-warming lessons.  At every step of life, we get to learn something new and different.

At school we can share our thoughts with our friends  because we know that they won't judge as.  We know they are at the same phase of life as we are, so we sort of share similar experiences.

Through out these years, I've realized that school has become a wonderful and a significant part of my life which I will never be able to erase from my heart
.
School is not only an educational institution for me but the place where my heart belongs. It made me stronger and greatly enhanced my confidence.  More than that, it made me a better and a smarter human being.

Thankyou!

It's not always sunshine

It's not always sunshine !

The eminent author Anthony Robins once said " Every problem is a gift! Without problems we won't be able to grow "

Like I've said in my previous posts, life is a roller coaster with its many ups and downs and twists and turns.. Some are smooth sailing while the others are quiet harsh or rough... When we walk on the road of success we become greatly engaged in our world, that we forget to thank God. We sometimes don't even realize that we are losing on so many precious things of this marvelous  world. And when we slowly try to get the picture of all that we have lost, it becomes too late!

Some of us fail to hold amicable terms with our life. One can say- many of us lack the ability or the strength to deal with the difficult times of our life.  If you tackle each difficulty with tons of hope and determination, then only you will be able to sleep at night with peace and satisfaction !
We all need to anticipate these difficulties as challenges in our life rather then remarking them as "problems" or "punishments from the Almighty".

We can't perceive every single day as a sunny day! We need to learn that we cannot make a cloudy day, a sunny day but the most we can do is embrace it ! This is the only way we can move forth in life.

We have to face failures in order to reach success! We need to make aims and goals and strive hard to achieve those particular aims.

The road to success is rocky and harsh and it is affiliated with many minor failures, but these failures help you to evolve as a person. These failures teach you the greatest lessons of life. These failures represent hard work and focus.

So never give up on anything you do!

Don't let any of your failure to outweigh your success..

Remember friends happiness does not represent the absence of conflicts and problems in ones life but it is is the ability to deal with those conflicts.

Thankyouu!

The displeasing world of greed !

The displeasing world of greed !

Our world and our life can be easily compared to a racing court where each individual is competing on the edge of his/her seat. We all have become a significant part of an extremely 'heated' competition which has no end ! We all have become desperate and greedy for success, power and money without realizing the consequences of our never ending and unhealthy desperation and wants ! These deliberate attempts to achieve many things of this world can prove to be malicious to us! They can impose a long term effect on our hearts and mind which we would encounter alot of difficulty in permanently removing ! Too much greed for money and power detaches us from emotions, sentiments, feelings and other such wonderful and natural aspects of our life.
Too much need for power can give rise to several conflicts which are nasty and merely displeasing!
Too many wants can lead to us lacking feelings and consideration making us as"soulless" and "ruthless" as ever. We need to learn to stay within our boundaries and realize that money or power cannot buy happiness! Infact happiness and unconditional beauty is confined in the simplest of things ! So all of us should conform to simplicity and live our lives in the best of ways...We need to make sure that conflicts are absent and find ways to make sure we live a healthy and happy life which is far away from the displeasing world of greed and power. Remember friends greed is destructive while simplicity and silence is deep, beautiful and profound (:

Love Rameen(:

Change(:

Change(:
Change is something which most of us human beings are unwilling to do. Whether, you talk about changing your personality, or changing your place of work or let's changing the environment you live in, none of us are willing to accept the change and move forward , none of us are motivated to meet and greet new people, explore new places, make new friends, create brand new experiences and learn new lessons! I personally fancy change and I'm sure that most of us also find change fascinating and exciting..! However there are still many people who wish to dwell in their past memories and do not wish to embrace their future.
Change is the basic foundation of betterment and maturity..it leads to improvement in our thinking and helps to nurture our thoughts!
For instance: many of us are not willing to accept criticisms and are not ready to change so as to enhance our thoughts  and personality!
Each one of us should learn to take change in a positive way and consider it as a positive aspect of our lives ! Change helps to evolve us human beings as persons !

Thankyouu xoxo

Does equality exist? I don't think so.

Hey everyone, my next post will focus on the emminnent topic of Gender Discrimination!
Even though, a few of us will agree on the fact that our world has tasted success, prosperity and modernization, we can't outlook that problems like Gender Discrimation still exist in many areas. At many places, men are still considered to be more superior than women. Why do we all fail to comprehend the fact that women are equally capable, hardworking, assertive and are in jobs which are intellectually demanding. Additionally, women have proved their discernment and cleverness time and again. I'm not being gender biased here, all I mean to say is that women should be treated with equal respect and admiration! Yes, there are some facts of life that can't be ignored.. For instance, men are physically dominant and they act like a protective shield for women, however I personally feel that women are emotionally stable and can handle themselves better in a times of trouble and hardships !(:

They have a significant role at home too. They support their families, comfort and pacify their husbands and spend their unconditional and immense love and time on their beloved children. They are also very dedicated towards their work outside the four walls of their house. Their dedication, willingness and determination has helped them to achieve success and prosperity in their work and now many women are proudly part of higher level management committees and are doing well globally.. However women should make sure to maintain a balance between their personal and professional lives. They should make sure to nurture their kids in a proper manner so that they don't become victims of disregardance and negligence..!

In the past years, many unfortunate cases of gender discrimination and sexual harrasment at work have been reported.   I'm sure that all of us are educated enough and it's a part of our social upbringing to treat each other with respect and exhibit a positive attitude towards each other at places of work ! Lets join together to anticipate changes to our society

- much love, Rameen xoxo

The Race against Time !

So while I was doing one of my exams, a myriad of thoughts started racing through my mind ; will I do good? What will my parents think if my marks aren't satisfactory ? Will these marks lead me to prosperity ? To be honest, at one point of time, I wasn't exactly in a state of answering any of these questions as I didn't want my concentration to divert. Cuz if your concentration,in those two hours work on any other activity, then the purpose and the hardwork we spent in that entire year of academics is forgone and we learn the answers to our questions eventually, and these answers to our dismay are negative.
Time isn't in our control. For instance, while sleeping the fact becomes incomprehensible to us that how those 8 hours passed. When an incident occurs, it leaves many of us wondering "How did this happen? My child was with me just a day ago! He was playing and cuddling in my arms. How come he isn't here anymore ?"
Time fights with our emotions, sentiments and priorities. Some people say, that things will get better with time. While, the others say that things will worsen as time passes by. This is one unique quality of time that it is 'two-faced' in its own way whether positive or negative. Some people wish to cease a moment for years, while the others want that moment to pass as quickly as possible. We should learn to understand the magnitude and importance of time. Every minute holds it's own significance. Every second wasted has its disadvantages. While doing an exam, a track of every second needs to be kept as on that very moment, every second will matter. The day everyone will comprehend and absorb the fact that time is valuable, will be the day our society will stop being vulnerable to externalities. The day we learn to keep a record of every second passed, will be the day our minds and heart will stop being fragile !

Thanks nd much love xo
P.S- this post was supposed to be posted on 13th December 2012

"Sometimes you have to go with the flow, and accept things as they are"
