Travel Diaries :)

Traveling, traveling and more traveling - is something that I absolutely love to do ! As I've said before, I love to venture and explore, and that surely makes me a travel fanatic.

I love to venture into this world, explore various places and gain a unique learning experience from everything I do. In fact, I feel that traveling helps one to stay connected to the world. Traveling surely makes me feel more relaxed, and rejuvenated at the same time. It helps to drive my monotony away and takes me to a whole new world filled with everlasting experiences.

Whether you enjoy a palatable meal at a Chateau in the South of France or dip your feet in the warm waters of the Atlantic, traveling always enlightens your heart and makes you feel more ecstatic than ever.

Whether you dance all night in front of the magnificent Eiffel Tower or enjoy the tepid weather  of the Bahamas, the excitement that traveling brings  never fails to leave you amazed. Traveling is something I have always appreciated and find worth spending my money on.

MY EXPERIENCES!

Malaysia

Malaysia has always been my favorite holiday destination and is definitely like my second home. I've been there about  7-8 times and I absolutely loved each of my visit as it was bounded by sheer joy and enthusiasm. Out all the places I've visited in Malaysia, the one place that I loved the most are the 'Genting Highlands'. The rejuvenating air and the mild weather are the highlights of this beautiful locale. Situated in the beautiful tropical mountains of the East, this picturesque location is the most desirable for people who deeply enjoy nature and relish the cool weather.

The Genting Highlands is also an impeccable  location for children and adults who crave for thrill and excitement. The two colossal theme parks located on the mountains ensure that visitors are provided with a fun filled experience. In terms of entertainment, this place definitely gets a well-deserved thumbs up from my side.

Another city I absolutely love to visit has to be Kuala Lampur. Situated in the heart of Malaysia, Kuala Lampur is most loved by all those who substantially enjoy a city like atmosphere. With a significant number of night markets, massage corners and food stalls available, this city mainly attracts me because of its outstanding zeal and flamboyance that can instill a sense of freshness and positive energy in any person. Here, you can gorge on the warm Roti Chennai served with a cup of hot tea, or devour on the delicious Nasi Lemak- a famous Malaysian Dish comprising of spicy fish with white rice and beans.

Another beautiful city in Malaysia is Penang. This city is exhilarating in each and every way and promises immense thrill and bundles of excitement to its visitors. What makes Penang different from the rest of the Malaysian cities are the city's enthralling beaches and an exotic front. During every single visit of mine, I surely do not give a miss to the different kinds of water activities offered by the city.

So if you all are exhausted and want to enjoy a peaceful, invigorating and exciting holiday, then Malaysia is the most perfect holiday destination for you.

Information about more holiday destinations will be posted soon :)xx

Life As You Know It

Life. as.you.know.it (:

Hmm, if we read off from a dictionary, the word 'life' is simply defined as "the existence of an individual human being or an animal". A very academic term. But doesn't life has a broader meaning attached to it? For me, the definition of 'life' isn't restricted to about six or seven words in a dictionary.. This simple word has so many thoughts and lessons confined within those 4 letters.. It's just that, we don't take the time to appreciate our life or openly talk about it..

Life is the beautiful blessing which has been endowed upon us by the Almighty. It completely depends upon up to shape it in a good way and give it divine meaning.

A lot of us tend to criticize our lives by calling it "boring" or maybe "meaningless". But, we never bother to identify the sole purpose behind our life. Our life is not always about adhering to self constructed rules and regulations. Our life surely does not only revolve around the four walls of our house.

Our life is very much exuberant and enthralling in it's very own way.  Life teaches us the greatest of lessons. Life helps us to recognize our imperfections and correspondingly embrace them. Life helps us to analyze our inner self and discover our personality.  Life teaches us to explore and venture :)

In short, Life gives us a new purpose and an exciting adventure everyday. The beautiful rise of the sun, a glance at the midnight sky and the intriguing sight of sun set.. Aren't these the spectacular miracles of our life? The zest of life is forever confined within it's natural beauty(:

Oscar Wilde once said, "To live is the rarest thing in this world. Most people do is exist"

Thank you !

Time to reflect.

Hey everyone :)

It's been super long since I've written anything and I am extremely excited to come back to writing on this blog. Although, I have mentioned this a couple of times earlier,  writing on this blog has definitely served as a unique, thoughtful and an exhilarating experience for me.

I took my first step on this journey on November 2012, as a way for me to escape from my worries, and little moments of stress. I thought that this initiative will help me to discover my intuitive passion for writing and also feed my imagination at the same time. Creativity is the essence of writing and it's very important for us to depict that innovative ability through each writing piece. And maintaining this blog helped me explore my creative side through writing. Not only did I feel more expressive, but I also felt an inner sense of satisfaction. I felt a sense of accomplishment with every writing composition, although I know that they aren't that great. I felt happy knowing that I am doing something entertaining and constructive at the same time.

As time passed by, I began to enjoy this experience even more and decided to embark on a bigger journey. This is when I decided to become a part of a youth magazine. This provided me with the bigger opportunity of voicing my own opinion and getting to learn more about my self. I reflected on my past experiences and amalgamated that with my work. This taught me an important lesson- experiences play a crucial role in shaping our thought process. My experiences helped me to lead a way of self-discovery; to bring a positive growth in my life and to nurture myself in different fields. All this did not only help me achieve personal growth but also helped me to develop skills vital for professional standing.

While I reflect on this journey from starting my own blog to becoming a part of a youth magazine, I can just say that my experiences molded my thoughts and that immensely helped me in the recent times. I've now matured a little more. I have learnt a way to express myself openly than to confine things within myself.

You.Only.Live.Once,  hence make the most out of it by discovering yourself. There are several opportunities laid out there, just waiting to be discovered and grabbed by you at the right time.

Peace and Love,
Rameen

Quote of the Day<3

This is a dialogue we used in one of the scenes for my drama summative and I absolutely loved it, so I decided to share it with all of youu!

"When I compare what I have lost with I gained, what I've missed with what I attained, little room do I find for pride. Defeat is but a victory in disguise. The lowest ebb is the turn of the tide."

Always fill your day with sheer joy and delight. Never lose hope. Remember to embrace situations with confidence and positivity and live a happy life :) have a great day folks!

A Eulogy to My Grand Mother

Eulogy to my Grand-Mother
Dear Grand-Mother,

It's been almost nine and a half years since you have passed away,

I was very young that time. However, I distinctly remember your wide and beautiful smile,

Like the golden sunshine that enlightened our world with joy and happiness and made all our worries fade away.

You enjoyed talking - talking A LOT ; a beautiful red rose without any thorns.

You single-handedly raised your children and served as their ultimate pillar of strength.

My father always remembers you as being a compassionate individual, who never failed to fill his life with unconditional love and imbibed him with moral instinctive values that never surpassed any timely constraint.

He says that you were a woman of a soft temperament, who strengthened  ties within the family and knitted them close together.

Even though, you indulged in moments of profound sadness, you never showed any bit of apprehension .
You ultimately complied with all their needs without a strain of tension on your face.

I honestly wish that I had the opportunity to spend some more time with you and inherit some remarkable qualities from you.

The strength, passion, willingness and determination - you showed is what inspires me to aim for success and happiness in life.

I would feel absolutely lucky if I even manage to become half the person that you are.

Thank you for being there always.

Moments fade away but rigid memories stay forever.

When Darkness Prevails..

As the midnight sun seeps in,
Indulging in the deepest agony of night,
Relieving the sky from the commotion of the day.
The dusk, the sand and the moisture dew.
The droplets of sunlight have now become fairly vague.

As the midnight sun seeps in,
Fireflies conquer the purple sky,
Filling the dusty air with sparks of grey.
Eradicating the scarlet light of the day.

Sounds have now disappeared
Vision is now fairly clear,
A unison of voices have arose,
Like mystical fairies of the night,
Who have escaped from the clutches of their caves.
Guarded strongly by the bold and the brave

The evening sky now seems
as if it is resting on the tresses of a magicians hair,
Giving way to instruments of darkness.
Engaging in the sublime odor of life,
So peaceful and serene.

A lil about myself !

As individuals, we all have seen some dreams for ourselves and many of us wish to fulfill them.  As for myself, I have always seen this dream of graduating from an eminent and a top-notch university with a recognized degree in my hand. I can only imagine myself on the day of my convocation with a graduation hat,  dressed up neatly in charcoal black toga embellished with parchments of my name. I certainly cannot wait for the day I officially enroll into the university of my choice. But, this is just the beginning of my dream!

I have always described myself to be a person who is extremely enthusiastic, communicative and acquires sheer joy in learning. In fact, I relish a fulfilled educational experience and would love to indulge in even greater experiences in life. I have always disliked comparisons and widely hold my belief in the fact that every individual in unique in his or her own way. We all have different approaches towards life and share a different perspective. In addition, we all possess distinctive skills and have a set of our 'likes' and 'dislikes'. A comparison is an unfair mean of analyzing a person. It just undermines one's potential and scope.  We all have a different perception because each and every one of use are DIFFERENT.

I highly savor challenges. I want to make sure that I challenge myself at every point in time. I feel that a challenge enlightens one's inner potential and enhances your capability. As far as I know myself, I always tend to perform better in those things which I take and regard as a 'challenge'. I feel that the 'challenge' which I embrace serves as a medium that tests my abilities, work habits and skills. In the 16 years of my life that I have lived, the most important lesson that I have been taught by my parents is to never take anything for granted.  Overconfidence is the key to failure. Respect every blessing which the Almighty has endowed upon you and thank him endlessly.  Never take pride in anything you do. None of us have the license to be proud or selfish.

I also believe that a person should be a 'good sport'. By that, I mean to say that a successful person is someone who is appreciative of other's work and embraces their weaknesses. I have also said this in my previous blog posts, that one should learn to accept criticisms as it may be constructive to them in the long run. Our weaknesses and failures help us to evolve as persons and spark a willingness to succeed within us. As we undergo certain experiences, we emerge from our baby mould. My teachers have always taught me to anticipate challenges in life and grasp opportunities.

Our world is similar to a masked ball with manipulative people all around. This is the time when our learning experiences will assist us in life. Whenever you encounter a failure in life, do not blame your luck or say that it was all because of a bad omen. Take it as a test!  Embrace the problem with an attitude of positivity and keep you belief firm. The flow of positivity in your veins is what will help you to flourish in your future endeavors.  Never let anyone shatter your hopes and beliefs. There used to be a time, when even a little of criticism was adequate to demoralize me and tarnish my hopes. However, as time passed by, I had realized that ups and downs are a part of everyone's lives. We all will face failures at some point in time. But, it depends on how each one of us handles the situation. A successful individual is definitely someone who tackles a situation in the best and most convenient of ways.

My parents have always served as my mentors and continue to inspire me in every aspect of my life. My beloved mother taught me to be strong and never leave my passion aside. She always supported me in every step of my life and immensely encouraged me. A wise man once said, "Mother hold our hands at the beginning, but they continue to hold our hearts for the rest of our lives."  My mother always confided in me and that is something which strengthens my abilities and makes me a more capable and an esteemed person.  On the other hand, my dad is my role model.  He is a self-made individual who has always taught me to be calm and patient at all the times. In fact, he is the one who has fuelled my dreams and passion and I simply cannot thank him enough for that. Both my parents have taught me to adhere to the right path and always be honest. Today, I feel that I can somewhat distinguish between right and wrong, just because of them. Their unconditional love and concern for me makes me feel more special and happier. They helped me establish as a compassionate, assertive and an empathetic individual.

My mantra is to 'Live your life to the fullest!'

Life is a roller coaster ride with its hurdles and a few dramatic twist and turns. However, it is most important for us to enjoy our life and make the best out of it.

Thank you!

Sunset Quote!

As the evening sun bade it's hearty farewell and faded toward the very edge of the west wing, the azure sky looked like it was divinely painted with master Da Vincis magnamous colors.... A truly divine sight indeed.

A true masterpiece of nature's art.🌺

An Inspiration to millions - Dedication to Stephen Sutton

In life, we seek for love and passion
However, when our journey starts to fail,
To hope and determination we comply,
When limitless boundaries start to fade,
Our hope then shakes away and time starts to relentlessly scatter.

To Stephen Sutton
You taught us the meaning of unconditional love,
Hindered deep within our hearts,
Existent but unexpressed
Desired but not really shared.

You taught us go be kind, giving and heartily generous.
And raised millions for sick around the world.
You throbbed in pain but never expressed your agony.
Always wore a smile!
You made everything readily seem fine.

Glass shattered but your hope remained firm,
To disparity you never adhered.
You will be missed by all of us Stephen.
A true role model and an inspiration to millions.

Tranquility and empathy(:

The Art of Being Generous!

'Heal the world, make it a better place! For you and for me and the entire human race. There are people dying and if you care enough for the living. Make a better place for you and for me.'

-MJ (Heal the World)

Replacing Greed with Generosity!

Generosity!

So this is a short poem written by me(:

A Prayer of Generosity!

Since the day, we had descended into this magnificent world,
The Almighty graced us with the message of sublime love.
In our world, while living a well-orchestrated life
We had to build our ways and learn to prosper and strive.

Imbibed with qualities of kindness and endearment,
We shall learn to exhibit generosity at all times,
For benevolence is the greatest form of charity,
And stirs a frenzy of goodness in our minds.

Oh Almighty, make us an instrument of thy peace.
Bless us forever with your enriching love and grace.
With your unconditional support, we shall thrive
And assure to become the greatest hope of the human race.

Generosity is the heal to all wounds,
Paving the rocky road to betterment and success
Driving us towards the edge of our seats,
Making us a maestro of thy good deeds

It warms our hearts and pacifies our nights,
The righteousness will earn us Paradise in the after life.
The perfect amalgamation of love and tolerance,
Creating profound bliss in our ongoing lives.

Dear God, bestow your kindness upon us,
And let us adhere to acts of love and peace
Serve us with the fragrance of patience and empathy,
This will be the ultimate salvation of human kind.

Oh The Most Merciful, make me an epitome of virtue and morality,
I wish to establish a relation of brotherhood among my people
Eradicating the difference between the affluent and the poor
Making the world a better place to love and live.

Oh Almighty, make us both generous and kind,
For generosity helps to purify the framework of our mind
Allowing us to promote tranquility and peace
And free this world from despair and grief.

On The day we depart from this life,
The rewards we earn from lending a hand,
Will earn us the token of kindness and gratitude
A patchwork of galore love , cohesiveness and sheer strength.

Thought of the Day- Day 6

Dedication to all moms(:

As I was scrolling through the internet, I came across this picture and felt that it deserved a post.. To all the beautiful mothers out there. You truly are an inspiration and examplar for us children. You are the empitome of hard work, wisdom and grace and never fail to fulfill your duties.
This picture teaches us a great lesson. Our mothers are wonderful. Let us all appreciate their existence in our lives.

Thank you mama for your unconditional love and support. Thank you for holding my hands at every step and teaching me how to walk. Thank you for being one of my greatest inspirations. Thank you for being my biggest support in times of difficulty. Thank you for being a part of my life.

I. Love. You

One day to L-O-V-E

One day to love!

Hello friends. Happy Valentines day to all! Hope that you all had an amazing day, filled with sheer love and enthusiasm.

As much as I love the idea of 'celebrating love', I always find myself in a dilemma about celebrating Valentines Day. I don't intend to let down someone's beliefs but I personally feel that it is unfair to dedicate one single day to love. In fact, I believe that we shouldn't make love an excuse to celebrate.  Love redefines sublimity and deserves to be relished and celebrated every single day. Love enlightens our lives and should be recognized with every passing minute. Dedicating 'one day' to love is the same as undermining it's power and influence.
So keep loving and cherish this blessing with every second of your life.

Have a great day.

Audrey Hepburn- Quote 2

Cultural Diversity- Good or Bad?

Cultural Diversity- 'Identity Crisis'!

Howdy Friends😀 Today, my post will focus on a significant aspect of my life - 'Culture'

As a person, I've grown up in a very culturally diverse environment. I was born in Pakistan but lived in the United Arab Emirates for a span of 15 years. Living in the UAE enabled me to get familiar with different cultural practices. For instance, despite of being a Pakistani, I seldom attired in beautiful Arabic clothes and absolutely loved eating the traditional middle-eastern cuisine. The falafel and the shawarma are definitely drool-worthy and mouth-watering. Moreover, I had a lot of Indian friends at school, which helped me to comprehend some aspects of the Indian culture as well. I enjoyed eating tangy indian snacks and found the Indian cuisine quiet self-indulging. Living in Dubai also gave me the pleasant opportunity to socialize and interact with people from different nationalities. This helped to enhance my knowledge about different traditions and made me feel more comfortable and delightful in my society.

At times, people complain that our generation is suffering from a major identity crisis and many of us fail to sense a belonging or a connection to a particular place. Some also claim that most  of our cultural practices are not preserved and serve  as a victim to heavy foreign influence. In fact, we all are so deeply involved into different cultural practices that we fail to identify ourselves to just one of them but in turn form a bond with all of them. 'Identity crisis' is recognized as something negative in our society  as it is said to suppress our personality in the long run.

However, let's look at the flip side of the coin. Growing up in a multicultural environment helped me to experience a blend of cultures and get the knack of each and everyone of them. Different cultures help to familiarize you with unique and distinct worldly traditions and practices . In turn, it increases your knowledge and socialization and makes you more confident about your surroundings. It's always beneficial to be aware of what's happening around you. In that way, you will learn to relish every minute of life and become more willing to anticipate positive changes to your world. If you are familiar with different ways of living, then you are more likely to adopt the positive aspects of a culture and integrate them in your own household.

When you become an adult  and step into a world of professionals, a brief understanding of the world will help to build up your personality and make you seem as a more intellectual and an assertive person. It will also enable you to blend into the environment with ease. Hence, I feel extremely lucky and privileged to grow up in an environment bounded with so many different cultures.

"Culture does not necessarily have to define who you are, but it does build up your personality and decide what aspects to incorporate in one's life"
-Rameen(:

The Bold and The Beautiful💛

Hey everyone :) So, this is another one of  my creative writing pieces which I would like to share with all of you! The poem deals with how a 'perfect girl' does not really exist in reality.  Constructive feedback will be widely appreciated. Have a good read.

The Bold and the Beautiful 🍓

As she walked into the boisterous crowd,
Her luxuriant hair tied up neatly to a place
With beauty galore all around,
She filled the site with funk and grace.

Her alluring looks defined her aesthetic ways
With poise and aplomb, she stood strong in her place
The bold and the beautiful person she was,
One could fall in love with her at the first glance

Dancing vehemently in the horde,
She left all the spectators enthralled and in awe
Her twinkling eyes expressed her glee
Her distinctive face filled the atmosphere wish sheer ecstasy.

Her strong demeanor captured millions of hearts
Her sensuous appeal seemed like a piece of divine art
Her unconditional beauty left everyone spell bound
So immensely sublime, pragmatic and profound

Her Assertive eyes blurted a stream of confidence
And Spontaneous moves revealed joy and grace
A perfect amalgamation of beauty and brains
She surely made my youthful heart race

As I slowly walked towards her
Wishing to embrace my love with open arms
A drop of sunlight, woke me up from my everlasting sleep
She wasn't reality, but a soulful dream

Say NO to Addiction

The Demons of My mind - Poem

Hey Friends(:  So, I really wanna share with you a piece of poetry that I wrote as a part of my Psychology assignment on Mental Disorders.. The poem deals with the undesirable consequences of 'Addicton'! Constructive feedback will be appreciated. Have a great day. (:

THE Demons of My Mind!

When I close my eyes
Trying to analyze the pain deep inside
It takes immense strength and courage
To set all the outwardly things right

Situations have become bizarre
I have devils residing in my mind
My world has become an illusion
Things are difficult to leave behind

A glimpse of myself in the mirror
Truly leaves me ashamed at what I have become
The demons harm my identity
Making me cranky, depressed and glum

They stealthily haste towards me
And laugh at my abrupt condition
They leave me whining in desperation
To pain and alcohol , I have adhered

I try my best to become as perfect as I can.
With power and faith , I attempt to resent
But these demons,  immerse me in my  heart-rending sorrows
Making me realize, that I need a doctor's help

I dwell in a parallel universe
Where darkness overshadows the light
Sufferings have increased,
My life is filled with sheer displeasure and fright

I embraced addiction, with a spark of happiness and joy
Unaware that one day, it will  leave me alone to destroy
It made Me a cold blooded animal bounded with treachery and greed
A self- created maestro, of thy evil deeds.

 Lonely and indebted
I seldom cry fiercely to myself
Deprived of love and tranquility
I am an unfortunate victim of my own ruthless self

I once used to be a, charming young lad
Down the lane, from south
But now, my teeth are rotten
I have become outrageously hideous and stout.

Most of my memories have been eradicated
I've lost all my dear ones
I am stuck in a hell with these callous monsters .
But through psychotherapy , they will shun

My soul is numb with fear and revulsion
Doctors claim that I need to go to rehab.
However,  I have decided to struggle till the end.
Until I get all my beloved back

No more weaknesses left,  I have become strong
Now, these unforgiving demons will be proved wrong
With strength and resilience,  I will take back my love, life and soul
They will have to return to me all the precious things they stole

The Exam foodie!

Treat yourself to some self-indulging sugary foods at times. Sugar helps to function our brains faster and keeps us happy and enthusiastic at all times(:
On the other hand, chocolates are always delicious to taste and never fail to enlighten our mood.
Smoothies can make our mind feel more refreshing, energetic and will enable us to welcome greater amounts of information! It's a healthy and a mouthwatering drink at the same time :)

What time is it? Exam time!

Ola friendssss 💛
As exams approach, many of us are bounded by hard studying schedules and are absolutely immersed into heaps of information. In fact, most of us are sleep deprived and are witnessing the formation of huge dark circles under our eyes. However, it is very important for each one of us to look after ourselves and ensure that we all are doing well. Confidence is one aspect that will enable us to become successful in our examinations. If we fail to strive for self esteem, then we may lose the confidence in our work.
So friends,  follow these simple exam writing tips and prepare yourself for a short, stressing journey(:

1. Break down your study time into half hour- 1 hour breaks. Cramming your work together and studying the night before exams  doesn't really help! So keep a check on your organization skills

2. If all the information tends to get too overwhelming, rest your mind for a bit. Then find yourself an empty corner, which is far away from any distractions. And don't let your studying get disrupted because of anything. This means no use of social media, no mobile phone or no tv.  Our brain cannot absorb too much in one go.

3. Make sure that you get adequate amounts of sleep. Pulling all-nighters may not always help. Our brain needs proper rest in order to function well.

4. Wear comfortable clothing while studying. Rummage through your closet,  to find a suitable pair of pyjamas and a loose shirt. Always keep comfort and convenience in mind while studying.

5. Never compromise on your eating habits while studying. Our body and brain need the correct amount of energy supply and nutrients to take in all the information. Depriving yourself from food will only result in your mind becoming more depressed and weaker.

6. Half an hour before exams start, keep your study notes aside and rest your brain for a while. Re-reading the information again and again, will only agitate your mind and make you forget all what your have learnt. A calmer mind will enable a wide array of ideas to flow through your brain.

Make sure you follow these tips and good luck for your exams :) Ace them

Welcoming 2014💚

A short poem dedicated to  the new year by Rameen Tariq..

The new year is here
Bringing hope, tranquility and lots of fervor.
Encouraging love, humility and exciting memories to endear.

The new year is here.
Giving rise to hope, peace and glory galore.
Motivating people to venture into the world and explore.

The new year is here
With opportunities and chances like never before
Teaching everyone to learn to forgive, move forward and love to the core.

Let all your frustrations drown and fade.
All the excitement which lies ahead will leave you amazed .
To hope, peace and joy one should adhere.
And I wish you a very Happy New year😘

"Sometimes you have to go with the flow, and accept things as they are"
